ANDREA PEYSER, LCSW

Andrea Peyser is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Masters from Hunter College School of Social Work. She has training in cognitive behavior skill development and dialectical behavior therapy. She has extensive experience in treating children, adolescents and families. This includes a strong background in learning issues, divorce, custody and a wide range of parenting concerns, including Post-Partum Depression assessment and treatment.

Andrea’s years working as a hospice in-home worker, helping her patients and their family members at the end of life, enables her to be successful in working with older adults facing health crises, physical and cognitive changes, and late life planning.

After years of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Meditation training and practice, Andrea incorporates these mind-body practices into her clinical work to address anxiety, depression, compulsivity and health issues, including chronic pain.
