JANE HOLZMAN, LCSW
JANE HOLZMAN, LCSWMs. Holzman received her M.S.W. from New York University in 1986 and subsequently trained at the Institute of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of N.J. For 14 years, Ms. Holzman was a clinician at Trinitas Hospital’s Child & Adolescent Outpatient Unit where she worked extensively with children, adolescents, and families. In addition to working at IFC, Ms. Holzman works for a local public school system where she provides individual and group counseling for students, conducts class lessons on topics such as bullying, problem-solving, decision-making, and stress management, collaborates closely with teachers, and provides parent workshops and staff trainings.
Ms. Holzman has extensive experience working with children who have behavioral problems and partners with their parents in order to develop effective strategies at home and at school. She collaborates closely with schools and helps teachers develop interventions for children who exhibit difficulties in the classroom. Ms. Holzman also works with adolescents who struggle with peer related and self-esteem issues, stress management, parental separation/divorce, bereavement and/or depression, and transitional issues.
