THERESE FELCHER, LCSW, SSWS

Therese Felcher received her Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is also certified as a School Social Worker in the State of New Jersey. Therese has over twenty years of experience as a psychotherapist practicing in both New York (Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services) and in New Jersey.

Therese was a psychotherapist in the Outpatient Psychology Department at Children’s Specialized Hospital treating children with Medical and Developmental Disorders. Additionally, as a clinician at Saint Barnabas Medical Center working in both the Neonatology Department and Diabetes and Endocrine Center, Therese specialized in treating a wide range of medical disorders, chronic medical illness, and grief and bereavement issues.

Therese has extensive experience in treating Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Mood Disorders and Child Behavior Disorders. She treats children, adolescents and adults. Her inclusive methodology incorporates working with parents on child issues, providing guidance related to behavior problems, family issues, peer concerns, parental separation, and life cycle changes.

Therese utilizes a comprehensive approach to psychotherapy including psychodynamic, play therapy, family therapy, cognitive-behavioral and solution oriented therapy to help children, adolescents, adults and their families strengthen their coping skills and quality of life.
